Classic Old School Home Remedy Which Can Relieve Knee, Back and Joint Pain!

If you experience pain and aching in your back, knees, or joints you know the frustration of trying to find something that helps bring consistent relief. These symptoms can be the natural result of aging, or in many cases they occur due to accidents, sports injuries, and other unexpected causes. Whatever the cause, many millions of dollars are spent annually by consumers desperately seeking relief from this type of pain.

There is actually a very common home remedy that has been used for many years to aid in relieving pain in your joints, but surprisingly not that many people are aware of it. Or, if they have heard of it, they haven’t been sufficiently convinced to give it a try. A number of studies over time have demonstrated that gelatin helps reduce pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis. Gelatin is also useful for strengthening bones and joints and aiding in preventing these problems from coming on in the first place. Gelatin is often used in food , pharmaceutical, and cosmetic manufacturing as a gelling agent.

Consumption of gelatin, which is derived from collagen extracted from animal bones, used to be a significant part of a healthy everyday diet. Today, most people really don’t know what to do with it. Unfortunately, “gelatin” is usually associated with the dessert Jello, which is loaded with sugar and artificial colors. It is much better to prepare your own gelatin recipe at home, without the sugar and dyes. It works best added to recipes or other foods, as it doesn’t have that much of a pleasing taste just by itself.

In 2000, a survey made at a meeting of the American Academy of Family Physicians in Dallas compared the responses from 175 patients with osteoarthritis who have had daily supplements of gelatin, vitamin C and calcium and discovered that these supplements have lowered the patients’ pain levels and increased their mobility by a great margin. As Sean McCarthy of the Center for Clinical and Lifestyle Research in Shrewsbury, Mass said: “Gelatin supplementation has the potential to improve knee function during activities that cause high amounts of stress on the joint”.

According to the findings of a task group of researchers from various facilities in Russia, gelatin could be used in treating stomach ulcers too, due to it containing amino acids of proline and glycine, which serve in protecting the stomach from ulcers. Combining gelatin with turmeric could prove to be even more beneficial because of its high amounts of COX-2 inhibitor called curcumin. This diarylheptanoid has great anti-inflammatory properties which help relieve arthritis pain. Therefore, using gelatin for your back and joint pain or stomach ulcers could relieve you off your pain and get you back on your feet again.

Here’s an old traditional recipe for a remedy with gelatin:

First, buy 150 grams of gelatin (proposed monthly dosage) at any store.

Instructions: put 2 teaspoons of gelatin powder (around 5 grams) and one quarter cup of cold water. Now, stir the gelatin powder into the water during the night and let it stay until morning. The mixture should look like a thick, transparent jelly which you could get for breakfast, combined with yogurt, fresh juice or honey. If you want, adding some anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric or cayenne pepper would be nice too. Keep doing this process daily for one month and see if there’s any difference in the way you feel each day.
