These Four Home Remedies Can Be Helpful For People Prone to Hair Loss

What actually causes hair loss in men and women? Doctors typically say that there is nothing to worry about when one loses a few strands of hair (say 100 or less) while shampooing or brushing, but when it gets more serious than that, there is concern. “Alopecia” is the medical term for excessive hair loss, which can occur at any age. I’ve seen bald men in their 20’s, and likewise younger women with seriously thinning hair.

Hair loss can be the result of many factors. Stress, poor diet, and hormonal disorders are things that can contribute. Some cases of hair loss aren’t a result of internal disease, but simply the result of a normal aging process as well as inherited genetic factors. Some health conditions, notably thyroid disorders and iron deficiency anemia, can be a root cause of this.

There are roughly 100,000 strands of hair on the average scalp, and as mentioned earlier, it is quite normal to lose 50 to 100 strands a day. Whatever the reason is for losing hair, thankfully there are some great home remedies to help slow or stop the process. These remedies are all natural and use common ingredients found in most homes.

One common home remedy for hair loss is aloe vera. This amazing healing plant has enzymes that help stimulate healthy hair growth. As well, it can help bring your scalp and hair’s pH to a level more conducive to hair growth. Consistent use of aloe vera can also help relieve itching of the scalp, redness, and inflammation. To use aloe vera to help stimulate hair growth:

  • apply aloe gel or juice to your scalp
  • let stay on for a few hours then rinse with warm water
  • repeat this 3-4 times per week as desired

Below are some additional home remedies that are good for helping prevent hair loss and promoting healthy hair growth. Enjoy, and please share!

Eggs

Eggs are rich in sulfur, as well as numerous other proteins and minerals. They contain selenium, zinc, iron, iodine, phosphorus. Eggs are extremely beneficial in the process of enhancement of the hair growth, particularly in a combination with olive oil.

Prepare your own homemade hair loss paste, by mixing one white of the egg with one teaspoon of olive oil. Whisk it well and then put the prepared mixture on your scalp or hair. Leave it in for 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, wash hair with cool water.

Garlic and onion

Sulfur enhances the production of collagen which is necessary for hair growth. Garlic and onion are one of the richest sources of sulfur, which might be seen by their usage in conventional medications for stimulating hair growth.

This is how to use garlic to stimulate your hair growth: crash 4-5 garlic cloves and mix them with some coconut oil. Apply the mixture on a heat until it starts to boil, and leave it thus for 2-3 minutes. Afterwards, let the boiled mixture to cool. When it is cool enough, apply it on your scalp and massage it smoothly. For best results, repeat this procedure 2-3 times in a week.

You can take advantage of an onion by juicing it. Apply the onion juice on your scalp and leave it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water.

Coconut

One of the most favorable ingredients for your hair is the beneficial coconut. It can be of great help in the struggle to keep good health of your hair and enhance its growth.

Coconut milk contains many minerals, like iron and potassium, proteins and fats. Its frequent use on the hair will make it stronger and it will be resistant to breaking.

Coconut oil is also very useful for strengthening your hair, since it affects the hair from its root to the top. Chop one coconut and draw out the milk.

Now make a combination of a little bit of water and this milk, and apply this mixture on the places where there is visible hair loss. Leave it sit during the night and wash it off the next morning. With continual use you may prevent hair loss permanently.
